Adult Eye Exams
Between the ages of 19 and 64, comprehensive eye examinations are recommended every 2 years, and every year if you are over 65.
Our Adult Eye Exams Include:
- Binocular Screening (how the two eyes work together)
- Prescription for Glasses (if required)
- Corneal Health Check
- Dilated Retinal Exam
Most adult eye exams are 30-45 minutes. Dilation drops are a recommended part of a complete eye exam as well, since it will allow the optometrist to screen for cataracts and peripheral eye disease. Please bring any glasses, contact lens boxes and sunglasses to your appointment.
Children's Eye Exams
Routine eye exams are first recommended between 6-12 months old, then yearly after the age of 3.
Our Children's Exams Include:
- Sharpness of Vision Screening
- Eye Focusing Ability
- Eye Alignment
- Checking Overall Eye Health & Other Conditions
Unlike adults, children often can't tell if they have a vision problem. Regardless of their ability to communicate, we are able to use techniques and specialty equipment to determine if your child has a visual issue.
Under 2: Covered fully under MSP benefits.
Between 2-18 years old: $25 after MSP coverage.
Dr. Vinge has a specialization in pediatrics and personally has 3 young children - eye exams are fun and interactive!
Dr. Moore also enjoys working with children and has a secret stash of stickers in her drawer (ask her about her fidgets)
DND Eye Exams
Both of our Doctors are able to complete DND approved eye exams with the correct paperwork. In addition to a standard appointment , DND appointments include completion of the supplied paperwork as well as job specific eye exam requirements.
For DND Eye Exams, all supplied paperwork must be brought with you to the appointment.
