Unlike adults, children often can't tell if they have a vision problem. Using sophisticated screening tools, we are able to determine if your child's eyesight is on the right road to development. Routine eye exams with an optometrist are first recommended between 6-9 months old, then yearly after the age of 3 (or anytime if a concern is noted). Our eye doctor has a specialization in pediatrics and has 2 young children - we believe that eye exams should be fun and interactive!
If you are between the ages of 19 and 64, eye exams are recommended every 2 years. Due to the increased prevalence of eye disease over the age of 65, your recall would move to a yearly basis. Regular check-ups with an eye doctor are the most effective way to prevent the progression of eye disease and keep you seeing at your best. As an optometrist, we believe that it is always best to be pro-active instead of re-active with your eye health.
Please note that these appointments are typically 30-45 minutes and may require dilation drops.
We are pleased to now offer online booking for routine eye examinations. Please contact our office directly if you cannot find a time that works with your schedule.
